Beth Quintana, ND

Hello! I’m Dr Beth Quintana, a naturopathic doctor (ND) and craniosacral therapist in Seattle. I graduated in 2008 from Bastyr University with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and am licensed as a primary care physician in WA state. As an ND, I have several tools in my toolkit that I’ve honed through years of providing both primary and specialty care. I’m happy to say that I offer you what I most love to do: helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies and engaged in their lives.

I work with many people that are stressed out and struggling with all sorts of pain – acute, chronic, physical, emotional, and spiritual. While I have training and experience specializing in several higher-intervention techniques to address pain and stress, I’ve found that I can do a lot with a little and be quite effective using subtle therapies like craniosacral therapy and focused counseling.

This work is my heart song. I’m a better person because of it and practicing subtle therapies enables me to put my sensitivity to good use. It’s an honor and privilege to facilitate the healing process and connect people to their inner physician.

Within every patient there resides a doctor, and we as physicians are at our best when we put our patients in touch with the doctor inside themselves.

Origin Story

I came to this medicine with my heart on my sleeve and fist in the air. I first realized my passion for health care through an undergrad sociology class called Sex and Gender (I majored in sociology, anthropology, and religious studies – math and science were yuck to me back then). I decided to write my term paper on the medicalization of childbirth and what I learned in the process got me FIRED UP. It was a wake-up call to realize that I was 20 years old and basically uninformed about childbirth options beyond the obstetrician-plus-hospital model. So I got out my metaphorical megaphone and started volunteering as a patient advocate, promoting women’s health and health education, and it all snowballed from there.

Dedication to service is a driving force in my life. In 1997, I moved to Seattle from the east coast to participate in a yearlong volunteer program and have lived here ever since. My service has changed through the years but the drive is the same: to uplift others and support good works that promote peace, social justice, freedom, and equity for all people.

Living in Seattle with its majestic surrounding natural environment is something to be taken advantage of, and take advantage I do. I love getting outside and earthing, walking, hiking, camping napping, swimming, exploring, playing, gardening. All the things. I also enjoy yoga, photography, crafts, puzzling, listening to my NPR stories, and being with my peoples. I live with my husband, two rescue pups, a 27-year old snake, and a neighborhood cat whom we co-parent.
